A New Floor Look — Without the Full Tear-Out
Modern flooring renovation for suitable existing floors — less demolition, less disruption, and a cleaner path to a better-looking space.
Condition assessed first • Lower-disruption approach • Local service

No-demolition renovation depends on the existing floor/substrate condition and compatibility.
No full tear-out where suitable
We renovate over floors that pass assessment.
Less disposal
Fewer bins, less old material leaving your home.
Lower disruption
A tidier, quieter, less dusty way to work.
Metro Vancouver
Homes, condos and strata buildings across the region.
Transformation
See a tired floor become a modern one
Where the existing floor and substrate are suitable, QuickHands can often renovate the floor without a full tear-out. We assess condition, height transitions, moisture, flatness and compatibility before confirming the scope.

BeforeAfterFrom our work
Real QuickHands Project — Before & After
A flooring renovation completed by QuickHands. Results vary by existing floor condition, material, area and preparation.

Why renovate instead of fully demolish?
When the existing floor can stay, several cost and disruption drivers simply drop out of the project. Suitability is always confirmed first.
Factor
Full tear-out
Low-demolition renovation
Demolition
Existing floor broken up and removed
Existing floor stays where it is suitable
Disposal
Bins, hauling and landfill volume
Far less old material to remove
Disruption
More noise, dust and rooms out of use
Tidier, lower-dust working method
Preparation
Subfloor repair after removal
Cleaning, levelling and underlay as needed
Cost drivers
Demolition labour plus disposal plus new floor
Preparation plus new floor
Qualified potential savings
up to 90%
in some suitable projects
On suitable projects, avoiding full tear-out and disposal can substantially reduce renovation cost — in some cases by as much as 90% compared with certain full demolition-and-replacement scopes. Actual savings vary by floor condition, material, area, preparation and finish.
This is not a fixed price or a guarantee. Savings depend entirely on the existing floor, the chosen material and the preparation your project needs.

How we decide if your floor can stay
Never assume every floor can stay. If the substrate is unsuitable, wet, structurally compromised, excessively uneven or incompatible, the scope must be assessed first.
Floor type
Hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, carpet, concrete or subfloor each behave differently as a base.
Flatness
High spots, dips and slope decide how much levelling or underlay is needed.
Moisture
Damp substrates or signs of water ingress must be understood before new flooring goes down.
Damage
Loose, hollow, cupped or structurally compromised areas may need removal or repair.
Height & transitions
Added height affects doors, thresholds, appliances and transitions between rooms.
Compatibility
The new system has to be rated for the base, the room and any building requirements.
